Serving up Style on a Plate
As guests socialized and shopped around, the Italian rooftop restaurant, Bellini, served them with delicious hors d'oeuvres. Inspired by the travels of fourth-generation hoteliers Maggio and Ignazio Cipriani, the menu featured contemporary and classic Italian dishes that would make their great-grandfather Giuseppe – who opened the legendary Harry's Bar in Venice back in 1931 – tremendously proud (and hungry for more)!
One of the pleasures of living in Miami or visitng is that you can eat ice cream every day! Bellini creates their own ice cream "in-hotel." So, you can stop by anytime for a sweet treat to cool off.
The Creator of the Bellini
It all started at Harry's Bar, 1931, when Giuseppe Cipriani combined proseco with peach puree - creating the original bellini! Giuseppe named it bellini after Italian artist Giovanni Bellini's vibrant pastel pink painting details.
Harry's Bar was famous for its hospitality, cuisine, and famous guests such as Ernest Hemingway, Charlie Chaplin, Alfred Hitchcock, and Humphrey Bogart. Although Harry's Bar had a legendary celebrity guest list, they were not exclusive. They were decorated with simple and aesthetic decor, nautical polished wood, soft lighting, and quiet elegance. The service was exceptional but not hovering. The atmosphere was magic, and Mr. Hotel definitely carried on that tradition of hospitality into the newest addition in Coconut Grove where all guests are treated like stars.

"C" is for "Carpaccio"
While many people know that Giuseppe Cipriani created the iconic Bellini, few realize he also invented another fine dining classic: carpaccio. This delicate dish of thinly sliced raw beef, so tender it melts in your mouth, can now be found on menus at many fine dining restaurants around the world. Its story began in the 1950s when Countess Amalia Nani Mocenigo visited Harry’s Bar and requested a dish of uncooked meat per her diet. Inspired, Cipriani carefully sliced raw beef paper-thin and dressed it with a light, creamy sauce. A lifelong lover of Italian artists, he named the dish Carpaccio, after the Renaissance painter Vittore Carpaccio, whose vivid reds and whites reminded him of the colors on the plate — and who happened to be the subject of a major exhibition in Venice at the time.
Bellini offers a delicious modern take on carpaccio that you can enjoy - the classic "Carpaccio" with the finest free range grass-fed beef served with crispy artichokes, arugula and shaved parmigiano. They also offer a fresh seafood option - Langoustine Carpaccio.
The Future of Sustainable Luxury
This wasn't merely an event – it was the social highlight of the season, where hospitality legacy met environmental consciousness! Mr. C Hotel proudly holds a Silver Certification from FGBC for its environmental sustainability and green energy-efficient lighting, proving luxury and environmental responsibility can go hand-in-hand.
The generosity flowed as freely as the champagne! Flower Trend delighted attendees with complimentary magnificent bouquets, adding vibrant color to an already spectacular day! Guests also took home state-of-the-art polaroids from Miami Photobooth – the perfect souvenirs from this unforgettable celebration!
One of Mr. C Hotel's core philosophies may be "to love is first to serve," but during their 6th anniversary celebration, they served nothing but SUITE DREAMS!
